Roy started working for Adolph Bruns when his business was downtown Gregory, when Roy was in high school.  He purchased the business from Bruns after it had moved out to

 the south side of Highway 18.   Shortly after Roy bought it, the building and inventory burned. He rebuilt the business at its present location and has continued there since that time.
