THE PURPOSE of the American Legion Auxiliary is:

TO DEFEND AND TEACH the principles of democracy

TO UPHOLD the law of the land

TO FOSTER patriotism

TO VENERATE AND SERVE our veterans

TO INSTILL a sense of obligation to the community, state, and nation

TO GUARD the basic freedoms of religion, expression and choice

TO SUPPORT the work of the American Legion

TO CONTINUE OUR ASSOCIATION with devotion for service to God and Country
